A graffiti artist hits the downtown Phoenicia — and the results are delicious

In New York, those of us poor souls without air conditioning would escape into grocery stores during summer to cool off a bit (and maybe buy some gelato). But through August 31, there’s a much cooler reason to head to Phoenicia Specialty Foods downtown.
The grocery store collaborated with graffiti artist Gonzo 247 to create “Yummy! 247,” a collection of grocery-inspired art that includes everything from soy sauce to cartoon logos to green peppers. It will change the way you think about art and food, and maybe even make you hungry. (Luckily, Phoenicia can help you out with that.)
