Holiday Almond Cake

224 g - almond paste baking Marzipan (Alsteror brand)
112 g - sugar
230 g - butter pieces
90 g - orange blossom honey
342 g - whole large eggs
72 g - Amaretto or orange liquor
90 g - all-purpose flour
112 g - sliced almonds
2 pinches - salt


Method Creaming

In a 5 qt mixer with paddle add almond paste in pieces with sugar until small pearls form
While mixing add butter pieces and cream till pail in color
Next add honey mix add one egg at a time mixing well between eggs
Add Amaretto or orange liquor
Sift flour with salt and mix in last – do not over mix
Pour into 9” cake pan that has been buttered with sliced almonds laid on the bottom
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes
Turn upside down on plate let drop
Put desired amount of powdered sugar on top and serve!
